Brothers,

My few options for storing the float have evaporated.  Please beat the
bushes one more time to see if you can find a location (even temporary).
I'm trying to get the float down here within the next week so we can prepare
it for the Hazel Dell parade on May 16th.  The float measures 30 feet long
and 7 feet wide.  The wheel base is 22 feet with 4 foot overhangs on both
ends.

Brothers,

We have the parade float!  It is the float that was used a couple of years
ago (the best float GL ever built in my opinion).  It's in pretty good shape
and I'm confident we can use it in the Hazel Dell parade on the 16th.  So
mark your calendars to join us at the parade on the 16th and march with the
float.  The parade begins at 10:30 am.

 

I don't currently have a photo of the float but have attached a photo of the
current 'A' float.  It is very similar in size and layout to our float
(including the motorized spinning "coin" on the back).

 

To prepare the float for the parade, we need to borrow a small generator and
we need someone who can weld a hinge back onto the frame.  Eventually, we
will need to purchase a generator, so if anyone knows of one that is
available, let me know.

 

Between this parade and the next, we need a brother who is good with engines
to help us find the cause of an oil leak.

 

The members of the Float Committee are WB Mark Sanders, B Tom Wick and
myself.
