We recovered extensive property from the room probably from previous burglaries within the last week or so. I spent the afternoon going through he property trying to identify ownership. _The recovered property included a gold Masonic Ring_. There may be a mixture of property from multiple victims, but I found an extensive coin collection going back into the 1960's, silver bullion, junk silver coins, two late 1930's one dollar silver certificates taped together with a French two Franc note signed by multiple persons (common for Army units at the end of WWII), indications of Seventh Day Adventist membership with support for a charity organization in Zimbabwe. Three daughters born in the late 40's through 1950's. I am guessing it is one of our older brothers in his late 80's. Anyone have any ideas? Please let me know and I will research it! I've been quite busy as of late. To the brothers that responded informing me that the Red wood is scheduled the same dates as our Grand Lodge - a warm "Thank you". In light of this I have cancelled my personal trip to the Red Woods. Some other rides, runs and rally's coming up are Rose City 250 - Charity run for the Providence Brain Institute (April 1st 2012) Rose City 500 - makes for a long day but it one hell of a GREAT ride. (May12, 2012) Rose City Grand Tour (on going with 15 Oregon State check points) Hell's canyon Motorcycle Rally (June 8-11, 2012) Another brother suggested maybe we take a trip to Montana. I piggybacked on that with a suggestion to travel to Montana during the same time frame as the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally. And of course there will be plenty of local poker runs and the such for us to partake in this summer where possibly having B-B-Q's and evening of drinks and cards after the runs. Got some ideas or suggestions? - Please - let me know. Everyone's input is important and valid. And if you know of other local runs and/or rally's - pleas share. The driving time is estimated at three hours each way. While he would typically spend the night there or in Des Moines on such a visit, he must return to Vancouver after the meeting on this occasion. As a result, the family thought a masonic funeral would be confusing. His widow (Jean) asked that our ?So Mote It Be? be fairly quiet and that we conduct a masonic memorial at Silver Star in the near future. They do appreciate our presence, support and wanted to let you know Sean took a great deal of comfort in the brotherly love and fellowship during the past several months. Second, the family asked that some Masons act as ushers. WB Ron Bishop will act as the Usher Coordinator and he is looking for 5 brothers to help him with passing out memorial folders, escorting the family into the chapel, out of the chapel and dismissing the attendees. If you are willing to help, please contact WB Ron Bishop at 360-606-4101. The reception after the memorial will be a potluck. If you or your wife wants to bring an item to share, please drop it off in the reception room before the memorial. There is no refrigeration, so please take precautions as needed and bring a serving utensil. Evergreen Memorial will supply coffee, juice, plates and eating utensils. No alcohol please, you can toast Sean at Ridgefield?s event later Saturday evening. In closing, after the memorial and reception, many of us will be returning to the VMC for a scheduled MM degree at Ridgefield Daylight Lodge. Thank you to WM Clemenhagen for allowing time from his Stated Communication for members of Ridgefield to attend the memorial Saturday morning.
